Anke Heyder holds the position of professor in Educational Psychology and Lifespan Development at the Ruhr University Bochum. After her PhD in psychology on the role of stereotypes for gender differences in academic achievement from FU Berlin, Anke Heyder has worked as a post-doctoral researcher in Dortmund, Berlin and New York expanding her research focus to teacher beliefs, attitudes, and knowledge as well as diversity and inequality in education. In her newest project, Anke Heyder works in an interdisciplinary network, funded by the Mercator Research Center Ruhr (MERCUR, reference number: Ko-2021-0023), with clinical and cognitive psychologist to promote the functional use of digital media in children and adolescents.
