TESTEd Network Analysis
Network analysis shows an expansion of the TESTEd network
To improve national efforts and find common solutions to societal, technological, or environmental challenges facing European education systems, ERASMUS+ Teacher Academies are tasked with forming intersectoral, international networks that address these cross-cutting issues and inform national and international education policies and practices.
One of TESTEd’s main goals was, therefore, to establish sustainable cooperations between different stakeholders in education across the five partnering countries and maybe even beyond.
In order to ascertain whether TESTEd met its goal of establishing these cooperations and building a diverse network of stakeholders in education, a network analysis was conducted in a pre-/post-design to demonstrate possible network changes prior and after the TESTEd project. Data was collected at an institutional level to show developments between partner institutions.
The network analysis shows an expansion of the network over the course of the TESTEd project – especially for the project’s beneficiaries. All beneficiaries were able to establish networks including a broad range of different partners in the education sector from schools to CPD providers to policymakers and social interest groups. These networks also go beyond the 5 TESTEd countries, now including organisations from 12 countries inside and outside the EU. Furthermore, the post-analysis network is marked by stronger working relationships between the institutions which could signify more sustainable partnerships.
→ The full network analysis can be accessed here.
It not only discusses these changes in the network, but also thematizes the types of partnerships formed, the networks of associated partners, difficulties in expanding the networks, and TESTEd’s impact on future collaborations.
