Successful Conclusion of TESTEd
Celebrating the end of our joined project and its impact
With the end of May, TESTEd is also concluding its work. Over the past three years, this project has brought together dedicated partners, teacher educators, student teachers, and in-service teachers from across Europe, working collaboratively towards our joined Syllabus and its implementation in initial teacher education and continuous professional development.
Throughout the project, we have developed valuable resources, fostered intercultural exchange, and promoted best practices in education and training. With the European Syllabus completed, our institutions now have a shared framework for the promotion of cross-cutting issues in teacher education. Furthermore, the joint lecture series, the CPD courses, Makerspaces and fostered our intercultural exchange, strengthened the European spirit, and offers ready-to-use resources for future teacher trainings.
The impact of the project cannot only be felt at the institutional level but also on the individual one: Through student research exchanges, TESTEd offered pre-service teachers the opportunity to visit partner universities and schools and collect data for their own research projects – many resulting in successful theses. Moreover, cooperations between teacher educators and in-service teachers were strengthened through multiple events, promoting cross-phase collaboration and an international community of practice in teacher education.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all participants, partner institutions, and supporters in Finland, Germany, Ireland, Portugal, and Spain who contributed their time, expertise, and enthusiasm. Your commitment, optimism, patience, and teamwork have been the driving force behind the project’s achievements.
As we celebrate the project’s conclusion, we look forward to building on these results and continuing our collaboration in the future. Thank you once again to everyone involved for making this project a resounding success!
