This OER, “I’m Packing My Suitcase and Have 200 Billion Euros…” – Simulation Game for Education for Sustainability, is designed as an interactive teaching resource to introduce students to the principles of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) through a scenario-based simulation. Learners take on specific roles and engage in research to identify meaningful investment opportunities within their own fields of interest that support the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The activity fosters a deeper understanding of the interconnections between the SDGs and encourages critical thinking on how sustainability-related decisions can have wide-ranging impacts. The simulation also strengthens skills in collaboration, argumentation, and systems thinking.
This OER is part of the cross-cutting issue Education for Sustainable Development and was recorded in the TESTEd CPD course on 31 January 2024.
